Many people today are looking for a magic bullet to improve their health. Unfortunately, it doesn’t exist. For the things that matter most in life, there are no shortcuts. But if you’re ready to get real and be honest with yourself, you can succeed, no matter what your goal.
This site is about defining, and building a healthy diet that you can maintain for life.
After years of struggling to lose pounds and maintain a healthy weight, I have finally developed a healthy eating plan that works for me, and with the information on this site, you can too.
I tried to follow pre-fab diets for years, only to gain back all the weight and then some. Trying to live with someone else’s idea about diet just doesn’t work for me, or for most people. And, without the tools to re-shape the diet we already have, eventually we tend to fall back into the old patterns.
Over time I realized that I had to learn more about the elements of diet so that I could put together an eating plan that would be my healthy diet for life. And when I did, I learned how to enjoy the food I loved while maintaining my weight and enjoying the benefits of a healthy diet.
I learned about:

-how to read labels and identify food that doesn’t belong in a healthy diet

-which foods are most essential to a healthy diet

When you know and understand what foods your body needs and why, you can make better choices and design a healthy diet that fits your life. Eating plans must be individual and unique for each person to succeed over time in their goal to maintain good health. We must each find our own unique solutions.
One thing is certain, when it comes to diet plans, one size does not fit all. No one diet can satisfy the tastes and needs of everyone. Starting with a basic knowledge about healthy food choices you too can build a healthy diet around great food that you love. And when you build a diet around food that you love, you don’t feel deprived which is one of the reasons so many diets fail.
But you need the skills to build your new healthy diet. And you must stop thinking about diet as something that you “do” for a while, and then slide back into old patterns of eating. Realize that “diet” is a description of everything you eat or drink. Resolve to make it healthy so you can start being who you want to be, living the life you want to live.
No matter what your age, it’s never too early or too late to start. But all the guidance in the world can only be that. You and you alone must make this happen.
You must be motivated, committed and highly focused to achieve any goal in life, and a healthy diet is no different. Don't wait until tomorrow, or "the new year". Make TODAY the start of the new year, one that leads to great health and renewed energy, for life.
