Salsa

This is a basic salsa recipe which is very easy to make. Full of healthy ingredients, it's a low-fat, no-guilt favorite.

You’ll need

-1 cup chopped Spanish onion

-juice of one lemon and one lime

-1 tsp liquid honey

-˝ tsp tamari

-1 tbsp olive oil

-1 each green and yellow peppers, chopped

-7 medium tomatoes, chopped

-˝ cup chopped cilantro (or more if you‘re a fan)

-3 cloves of garlic, minced

-1 small, finely minced jalapeno hot pepper (optional)

Mix the citrus juices with the honey, olive oil and tamari . Combine with all other ingredients in a large bowl and adjust seasonings to taste.

If you prefer it smoother, pulse a portion and mix in with the chunkier bits.

Let stand for at least one hour before serving. Will store for one week in the fridge.
