Turkey Burgers
I am a big fan of ground poultry and love turkey burgers. It’s so tasty, versatile and healthy that it’s hard to ignore. Many traditional hamburger recipes can be easily adapted for ground poultry instead. Find some nice, healthy whole grain buns to serve these burgers on. And load up on tomato slices and lettuce to sneak in some veggies. The addition of ground flax makes this meal ultra healthy. You’ll need: -1 lb ground turkey -¼ cup minced sun dried tomatoes -⅛ cup dry bread crumbs -⅛ cup ground flax -2 tbsp minced shallot -1 clove garlic, minced -1 egg, beaten -½ tsp dried oregano -salt and pepper to taste -½ cup feta cheese, crumbled Mix all ingredients together in a bowl and shape into 6 burgers.Barbeque over medium heat, turning once, for 7 to 8 minutes per side.Garnish as desired. Serve with Mediterranean Potato Salad.
